Q&A from Gate.io

Q1: Could you tell us a brief introduction of you please Patxi!

Patxi: Sure! I’m the COO at Champion Games, a 6 year-old video game behind MetaSoccer.

Q2: So talking about Metasoccer, could you tell us more about it? Briefly describe your project and its ambitions.

Patxi: MetaSoccer is an entire football metaverse in which you can manage your own club and generate income while you play. This is the starting point of a new paradigm in the sports eco, decentralized and of which you can actively participate in multiple ways.

Our ambition is to create a new football category, metaverse football. The new Messi and CR7 will be discovered in our eco, and that the Metasoccer Clubs will be able to generate income at the same level as a professional team in the real world through sponsorships, streaming, betting events and scholarship.

Q3: Very interesting! And how did you come up with it; what is the history behind Metasoccer?

Patxi: We are a six year-old video game studio so we have strong expertise creating soccer games and due to this expertise and interest in crypto the team decided to create MetaSoccer with some key concepts that we can find in Axie Infinity for example.

As I mentioned before, we know a lot about soccer and how to create a successful company, and our partners can see that as well. We are backed by top-notch Venture Capital funds such PlayVentures, DeFiance, ParaFi, DAO Maker and some tier 1 football players.

Q4: Ok very good to know you have a good backup,that always speaks well of the future of the projects. How about the team? Let us know more about yourself and the rest of the team members.

Patxi: We have been a team working together since 2015 and we are now 21 people in the studio focused on MetaSoccer product ution and growth. Marc Cercós, CEO is leading the gamification and Alex Fiestas, CTO is managing the technical side of the project.

So we know a lot about soccer and how to create a successful company, and our partners can see that as well, and that is the reason why we were able to raise +2M Euros in funding and also close big partnerships with the biggest launchpad in the market and also with the biggest Guilds.

Q5: Congratulations on the raise! Pretty impressive. So how do people join Metasoccer and the $MSU eco? Why should users hold it in the long term?

Patxi: In our game you will have the PVE and PVP , similar to Axie. So you will be able to get $MSU tokens on a daily basis with the PVE and on PVP it will depend on your results in the game and your division. If you are in the top divisions you will receive more $MSU.

The game will have many features like streaming and betting, and the valuation of our token and his usability will increase over time.

Q6: Ok so it seems pretty easy to start with! And how is the product developing? Could you tell us more about your roadmap?

Patxi: We are on track with our roadmap and we have announced our first licensed real-life playable NFT, Thomas Partey from Arsenal Club and we are going to announce a ballon d’or footballer in the next weeks.

We launched our token and 4 different NFT drops (all of them sold out). We are now focused on releasing the staking and marketplace in the next few weeks. The user will be able to generate income at that date.
PVE will be released in Q1 2022 and PVP in Q2 2022.
