Jin10 data April 14 news, Carsten Brzeski, an analyst at ING Group, stated that pausing interest rate cuts is no longer an option for European Central Bank rate setters. Brzeski said that U.S. tariffs on European goods, along with the more general protectionist policies under Trump in Washington, have reignited concerns about economic growth in the Eurozone, while Europe's investment plans in defense and infrastructure seem to offer a more optimistic outlook for the Eurozone. He stated, "The strengthening of the euro and falling energy prices have increased the disinflationary forces that the current trade tensions will have on the Eurozone." He mentioned that the European Central Bank seems to be considering pausing the recent series of interest rate cuts, but at Thursday's meeting, they will have no choice but to continue cutting rates.
