Analysis: The regulatory progress of DeFi and stablecoins, along with the spillover effects of Bitcoin, drive strong inflows into Ethereum ETFs.
Gate News bot news, Ethereum Spot ETF has seen a net inflow for 18 consecutive trading days, showing strong momentum. LVRG research director Nick Ruck stated: "As the SEC hints at possible exemptions for DeFi, investors increasingly believe that ETH is undervalued, especially in light of last year's Bitcoin reaching an all-time high and alts pumping to their historical peaks."
The Ethereum network's Pectra upgrade, launched earlier this year, addressed scalability and cost-effectiveness issues faced by developers, thereby enhancing positive market momentum.
"In addition to price trends, institutional investors are also increasingly turning to the Ethereum ecosystem, launching innovative financial products and consolidating their position in the cryptocurrency space," Ruck said. "The clarity of regulation, institutional adoption, and the alignment with broader market momentum all highlight that Ethereum is a promising investment target for bullish cryptocurrency investors."
At the same time, another analyst pointed out that Ethereum ETF primarily benefits from the spillover effect of bullish sentiment in Bitcoin.
"Given Bitcoin's dominance and MSTR's initiatives, investors are likely to be 'bullish' on Bitcoin, and we are finally seeing this positive spillover effect extend to ETH and other crypto proxies," said Augustine Fan, head of insights at SignalPlus. "The excitement around the Pectra upgrade and the DeFi revival may be one of the catalysts driving this rebound, but these may just be catalysts on top of a more structurally bullish risk tone."
