Gate News bot reports that, according to Cryptonews, the healthcare company Prenetics, invested in by David Beckham, is fully entering the Bitcoin market.
According to an announcement released this week, this genomics and diagnostics company listed on NASDAQ has invested 20 million dollars to acquire 187.42 Bitcoins, with an average purchase price slightly above 106,000 dollars, becoming reportedly the first publicly traded healthcare company to adopt this strategy.
This move caused the company's stock price to rise by 23%.
The Hong Kong-based company is known to the industry for its DNA testing platform, CircleDNA, and its broader health sciences program.
