Shih Pomo plans to make a decision on whether to stay or leave after assessing the progress of the US-Japan trade protocol.

Jin10 Data, July 23 - According to the Yomiuri Shimbun in Japan, Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba plans to quickly decide whether to resign from his position after evaluating the progress of tariff negotiations with the United States. Ishiba stated that once a solution is reached in the trade negotiations, he will explain how he will take responsibility for the election defeat. In explaining his decision to remain as Prime Minister, Ishiba emphasized that Japan faces numerous challenges, including difficult trade negotiations with the United States, which will have a significant impact on Japan's export-dependent economy, and therefore it is necessary to avoid creating a political vacuum. Ishiba is expected to meet with heavyweight members of the ruling party later on Wednesday to discuss the election results.
