Solana Mobile Launches Seeker to Redefine the Smartphone Experience

Solana Mobile begins shipping its second Web3 smartphone, Seeker, integrating blockchain features like crypto wallets and dApp stores directly into the device.

The new SKR token will reward developers and users, power dApp payments, and support decentralized governance in Solana Mobile’s Web3 ecosystem.

Seeker’s TEEPIN architecture enhances security and trust through a three-layer system, enabling safe, open development for decentralized mobile applications.

On August 4, 2025, Solana Mobile announced on social media that its highly anticipated second smartphone, Seeker, has officially started shipping.

This marks another milestone for Solana in building a Web3 mobile ecosystem. At the same time, Solana Mobile revealed plans to launch a native token called SKR, designed to encourage both developers and users to take part in its mobile Web3 ecosystem. Although SKR has not been launched yet, the idea behind it is gaining wide attention

SEEKER PHONE: A MOBILE ENTRY TO WEB3

Seeker is the second Web3 smartphone launched by Solana Mobile, following its first phone, Saga. It aims to deeply integrate blockchain technology with mobile devices and offer a decentralized digital experience.

According to the official announcement, Seeker began shipping globally to over 50 countries on August 4, 2025, and the first batch received more than 150,000 pre-orders, showing strong market interest.

The main highlight of Seeker is its deep integration of Web3 features. Unlike traditional smartphones, Seeker has a built-in crypto wallet and a decentralized app (dApp) store. Users can directly manage digital assets, play blockchain games, trade NFTs, or use decentralized finance (DeFi) services on the phone. It also runs on the Solana blockchain, which offers fast and low-cost transactions for a smooth Web3 experience.

In terms of hardware, Seeker focuses on user experience. It has a high-performance processor, an optimized display, and a strong battery to handle both daily use and complex blockchain operations. More importantly, Seeker uses a TEEPIN decentralized architecture, which includes three layers: hardware, platform, and network.

This setup allows for trusted verification between devices and applications. It improves security and gives developers an open environment to create more innovative Web3 apps.

SKR TOKEN: THE “FUEL” TO POWER THE WEB3 ECOSYSTEM

With the launch of Seeker, Solana Mobile also announced its plan to introduce a native token called SKR. SKR will be the core incentive for building the mobile Web3 ecosystem. It aims to attract both developers and users through rewards, governance, and ownership, creating a decentralized mobile internet platform.

FUNCTIONS OF SKR

Developer Incentives: SKR will reward developers who build high-quality dApps, NFT projects, or other Web3 applications in the Seeker ecosystem. Solana Mobile wants to bring in more developers this way.

User Participation Rewards: Users who use dApps on Seeker, join community events, or contribute to the ecosystem may earn SKR. It’s important to note that SKR will not be distributed through airdrops. Instead, users must earn it by real participation.

Decentralized Governance: SKR holders will be able to vote on important ecosystem decisions, such as development priorities or resource allocation. This gives the community more control.

Economic Circulation: SKR will also work as a general currency in the ecosystem. It can be used for dApp payments, transaction fees, and other activities, creating a self-sustaining decentralized economy.

SKR LAUNCH AND SCAM WARNINGS

SKR has not been officially launched yet. Solana Mobile has not announced a release date or distribution details. The team warns users to be careful about scams, such as fake SKR airdrops or pre-sale offers. Users should only trust official channels like the Solana Mobile website or its social media to stay safe.

TEEPIN ARCHITECTURE: THE FOUNDATION OF THE WEB3 MOBILE ECOSYSTEM

The success of Seeker is not only due to its hardware and SKR token but also thanks to the TEEPIN decentralized architecture designed by Solana Mobile. This structure uses three layers (hardware, platform, and network) to create trust between devices and applications, providing both security and openness for the Web3 ecosystem.

Hardware Layer: Seeker has built-in security chips and encryption modules. This keeps users’ private keys and digital assets safe at the hardware level and lowers the risk of hacks.

Platform Layer: With decentralized identity and dApp management, Seeker ensures secure and transparent interaction between users and apps. It also gives developers standard tools to build on.

Network Layer: Using the Solana blockchain’s high speed and low cost, the TEEPIN architecture supports fast on-chain interactions, making Web3 apps run smoothly.

This structure not only improves Seeker’s security but also gives developers more freedom. They can build many kinds of apps—from NFT marketplaces to decentralized social platforms—that fit into daily life.

THE FUTURE OF THE WEB3 MOBILE ECOSYSTEM

The Seeker phone and SKR token are key steps in Solana Mobile’s mission to bring Web3 to more people. Unlike the traditional mobile internet, Solana Mobile wants to use decentralized technology to give users real control of their data, assets, and digital identity. Seeker is not just a smartphone—it is a gateway to the Web3 world. SKR provides the economic and governance tools to grow this ecosystem.

Right now, Solana Mobile’s ecosystem is still in an early stage. Shipping the Seeker phone is only the beginning. The long-term success will depend on how many dApps are built, how active users are, and how well the SKR token is adopted. The Solana blockchain gives a strong technical base, but moving more users from Web2 to Web3 will take time and effort.
