Intel's 18A process has a poor yield rate, only 20%-30% of mass production in the second half of the year is challenging

On February 25th, Jinshi Data reported that the widely followed Intel (INTC.O) 18A process has a 'disappointing' yield rate, which is currently probably not more than 30%, facing significant obstacles in transitioning to mass production. According to the report from the technology website Wccftech, the initial batch of Intel's Panther Lake processor samples shows that the yield rate of the 18A process is between 20% and 30%, which may not meet the production schedule for the second half of 2025.
