Goldman Sachs Reveals What is Needed for Institutional Investors to Enter Cryptocurrency! - Coin Bulletin

Goldman Sachs Digital Holdings Head Mathew McDermott stated that regulatory clarity is essential for the crypto sector to attract large institutional investors and grow on a wide scale.

Speaking at the Token2049 conference held in Dubai, Goldman Sachs Head of Digital Holdings Mathew McDermott stated that large financial institutions need clearer and more transparent regulations in the U.S. to make large-scale investments in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. McDermott emphasized that these regulations are vital for increasing the scale in the market.

McDermott stated that the two proposed bills aimed at stablecoins in the US would deeply affect the market, "If regulations allow financial institutions to easily adopt stablecoins, this could accelerate the widespread use of digital currencies among major players," he added, noting that Goldman Sachs is closely monitoring these developments.

McDermott stated that big financial players like Goldman Sachs could play a more active role in every area of the crypto market if a clear and fair regulatory environment is established. The company currently has a wide range of crypto trading activities covering derivatives, futures, options, and ETFs. Additionally, serious efforts are being made to make traditional financial products tradable 24/7 through tokenization.

Goldman Sachs emphasizes the importance of tokenization, stating that there is significant customer interest in this technology, especially regarding money market funds. McDermott, who mentioned that the company is preparing to separate its own developed Digital Holdings Platform into an independent company, stated, "We have made agreements with important strategic partners to develop this platform. Next year, we will make the platform independent."

McDermott argues that the net regulatory developments in the U.S. will be extremely beneficial for the growth of the global crypto ecosystem, stating that this situation will attract more investors to the sector and accelerate growth.
