Ripple had tried to acquire Circle, which issued the USDC stablecoin, but was rejected. Ripple is still interested in Circle, though it has not yet decided whether to make another takeover offer. Ripple's newly launched RLUSD stablecoin has a market cap of around $3 billion, while USDC has a market cap of more than $60 billion. A number of crypto-related companies, such as Circle, are planning to go public in the near future.
