HashKey Capital completes a new round of $500 million fund raising

Recently, a global asset management institution focused on blockchain and cryptocurrency industry investments announced the completion of fundraising for its third fund, reaching a scale of $500 million. This new fund has received strong support from institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, large enterprises, and family offices.

This asset management firm stated that the newly raised funds will be used to seek outstanding cryptocurrency and blockchain projects globally, while also paying attention to opportunities in emerging markets. The CEO of the firm pointed out that their team has gone through at least three industry cycles, accumulating rich experience, which enables them to remain stable amid market fluctuations. Notably, this firm is one of the few cryptocurrency investment institutions that have obtained relevant licenses in both Hong Kong and Singapore.

The chairman of the organization emphasized that they have firmly believed from the very beginning that blockchain and cryptocurrency technology innovations can create a better future for humanity. They are early institutional investors in Ethereum and have previously hosted the Devcon2 conference. The new fund will continue the previous investment principles while seeking disruptive investment targets to drive the industry into the next stage of development.

The main investment directions of the new fund include infrastructure, tools, and applications with large-scale adoption potential. Since its establishment in 2018, the institution has managed over $1 billion in client assets and has a mature investment track record across various stages of blockchain and crypto projects. They have invested in many well-known projects, including Cosmos, Coinlist, Aztec, Blockdaemon, dYdX, imToken, Animoca Brands, Mask Network, Falcon X, Polkadot, Moonbeam, Space and Time, and Galxe.

As one of the largest and most influential blockchain investment institutions in Asia, the company is dedicated to connecting Web2 and Web3, collaborating with entrepreneurs, investors, communities, and regulatory bodies to jointly build a sustainable blockchain ecosystem. Currently, the institution has offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and the United States, and has invested in over 500 companies worldwide, covering areas such as infrastructure, tools, and applications with large-scale adoption potential.
