The New Era of Web3 Smartphones: Solana Mobile Launches the Seeker Phone
Recently, Solana Mobile launched the next-generation Web3 smartphone, Seeker, aimed at providing a more convenient mobile experience for crypto users. As an innovative project of Solana Labs, Solana Mobile is committed to deeply integrating crypto-native features into smartphones.
The Seeker phone is another masterpiece following the Saga, featuring a "Seed Vault" encrypted wallet that securely stores private keys and mnemonic phrases, and supports decentralized applications through a dedicated app store. The General Manager of Solana Mobile stated that the Seeker phone has introduced innovative seed vault technology to protect users' digital assets. Users can sign transactions by double-tapping and using fingerprint scanning, which operates similarly to mainstream mobile payment systems, aiming to simplify the usage process of Web3 applications.
For developers, the Seeker phone offers an open and low-cost platform. Its app store has gathered nearly a hundred mobile applications, allowing developers to deploy their apps for free without paying high commission fees. This open policy helps stimulate innovation and allows developers to fully unleash their creativity.
The hardware configuration of the Seeker phone is quite impressive, featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage, along with a 6.36-inch AMOLED high refresh rate screen. This device, priced at $500, has already received 150,000 pre-orders, with 80% coming from outside the United States, demonstrating strong global interest in Web3 phones.
With the launch of "Seeker Season" in September, more decentralized applications will be successively launched.
