Trump's chances of re-election in 2028 are "extremely slim"! Polymarket: These 3 lead the list for the U.S. presidency.
The possibility of U.S. President Trump being re-elected in 2028 is slim. According to the odds on the Polymarket platform, current Vice President JD Vance is leading the list, followed closely by California Governor Gavin Newsom and U.S. politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
As of Wednesday (July 23), Polymarket players believe the possibility of Donald Trump being re-elected is negligible. Although the current U.S. president has hinted at his ambition for a third term and sold "Trump 2028" hats this April, bettors are not so sure about it.
According to the current odds on Polymarket, only 3% of voters have confidence in Trump being able to win a third term after his re-election as president. This may be due to the fact that the U.S. Constitution states that a person can only be elected twice.

However, this did not stop Trump and his supporters from fighting for re-election. The next U.S. presidential election will be held in November 2028, at which time Trump's term will end.
Although the possibility seems low, Trump's participation amount still ranks after Vance, reaching $148,028.
On the other hand, Vance seems to be a popular choice among bettors, who believe that the 40-year-old president will take over the White House after Trump leaves office. Vance currently leads with odds of 28%, and the total investment from investors reaches $142,172.
Vance's betting rate has recently dropped from 51% when the Polymarket betting pool first opened. Since then, his betting rate has continued to decline and has stabilized between 25% and 28%.
Who are Polymarket players betting on?
In addition to Trump and Vance, investors are also looking at many figures from both sides of the presidential campaign. Ranked second in support votes is California Governor and Democrat Gavin Newsom, with odds of 14%.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has also become a popular candidate for the Democratic Party, with 11% of bettors voting in favor. She currently serves as the U.S. Representative for New York's 14th congressional district, and she recently received death threats and vandalism for voting in support of Israel in the defense spending bill.
Other notable figures on the poll list include former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Donald Trump Jr., and even former Trump supporter and Tesla Model X owner Elon Musk.
Interestingly, former Vice President and 2024 presidential candidate Kamala Harris's name also appears in the polls. Harris's betting amount is ranked third after Trump and Vance, totaling $117,168, with odds the same as her political opponent Donald Trump, both at 3%.
